5 words to describe a nurse

Day 28 of the blogger nurse / NHS Horizons – 30 day blogger challenge.

I have re-done this blog post. I saw a comment on Heart of A Student Nurse page and thought this was a far more creative way to write this blog!! So I’ve given it a go haha.

N – Noble: A nurse shows fine qualities and high morale principles. I always saw nursing as a high profession so this word fits nicely I think.

U – Unique: It takes someone truly unique to be able to do all of the things a nurse does. A nurse is a ‘jack of all trades’ at times. Nurses can often tell if a patient is about to collapse without even checking their blood pressure. All of this makes them unique, don’t you think?

R – Resilient: A nurse has gone through the hard times, the stressful times, has arrived at the end of their tether yet, still stands tall and uses all those times to come back stronger. To reflect and build on themselves to be the best version of themselves.

S – Selfless: Nurses care for others without thinking of themselves. Go above and beyond and sometimes skip lunch, skip toilet breaks and hydration breaks to ensure their patients are ok first. Nurses are one of the most selfless people.

E – Excellence: Nurses have such knowledge and dedication. They are excellent in my opinion. There has been some tough times throughout nursing and yet nurses are still standing and still going. Nurses are saving lives and preventing patients from hospital admissions every day. Nurses are constantly looking for better ways of doing things, for the best care possible for their patients. Nurses definitely have excellence and are indeed excellent.
